Inflation drives wage increases, but wage indexation has no impact.
The study looked at how inflation and wage adjustments are connected in the U.S. after World War II. They found that when inflation goes up, wages tend to go up too, but when inflation goes down, wages don't necessarily follow. Surprisingly, they didn't find much evidence that wage adjustments actually impact inflation.
