Optimal lighting for fat greenling larvae feeding could revolutionize aquaculture.
The feeding intensity of fat greenling larvae changes with different levels of light. When the light is between 100 and 10 lux, the feeding intensity is high. It decreases under very bright light (10,000 lux) and reaches its peak at 100 lux. The feeding intensity drops to a minimum at 0.1 lux. In this experiment, 100 lux is the best light level for feeding fat greenling larvae.
