The researchers studied different varieties of Greengram and sowing dates to see how they affect grain yield in a rainfed area in Karnataka. They found that variety KKM-3 gave the highest grain yield compared to other varieties, especially when sown on July 15th. This variety also had more clusters, pods, and seeds per pod. Sowing on July 15th generally resulted in higher grain and straw yields compared to later sowing dates. Overall, the study showed that the choice of variety and sowing date can significantly impact the yield of Greengram in rainfed conditions.
