Researchers used digital elevation models to predict soil pH in an alpine doline. They compared different interpolation techniques to see which one gave the most accurate results. The regression kriging and kriging with external drift methods performed better than the more complex cokriging method. The choice of the best interpolation method depends on the specific conditions of the site.
