Federalism is about deciding which level of government handles different issues. The Supreme Court's involvement in enforcing federalism has been debated. The article argues that courts should not resolve disputes about government power allocation. Judicial enforcement of federalism may not be helpful in deciding how authority should be divided among national, state, and local governments.
