The study looked at how Bahia grass cover and mulch affect runoff and soil erosion on sloping red soil in southern China. Over 5 years, plots with Bahia grass cover and mulch had low runoff and erosion, while bare ground had the highest runoff and sediment yield. Bahia grass cover was found to be an effective way to conserve soil and water on sloping red soil in the region.
