New Cotton Hybrids Show Major Boost in Seed Cotton Yield!
A study looked at how different types of cotton plants can be crossed to create hybrids with better yields. They found that most of the crosses showed significant improvements in seed cotton yield and its related traits. One particular cross, GShv 362/12 x PA 812, stood out for having the highest positive effects on yield and quality traits like lint yield and fibre strength. This suggests that combining different types of cotton plants can lead to better overall performance in terms of cotton production.
