The study aimed to find new rice varieties suitable for planting in Central and Northern Guangxi. They tested 11 new late rice varieties and compared them to two control varieties. The results showed that H-Liangyou 1712 and Deyou108 had higher yields and better disease resistance than the controls. These two varieties are recommended for further testing. Other varieties like Hengfengyou 2155, Huiliangyou 116, and Longliangyou 1439 also showed promising results and should be tested further. However, three varieties (Wuyou 225, Hangliangyou 705, Xiangfengyou 26) did not perform as well and may not be suitable for planting in the region.
