A new method called global-local Fisher discriminant analysis was developed to improve face recognition. This method considers both overall and detailed features of faces to better distinguish between different individuals. By combining global and local features, the method can better capture the unique characteristics of each person's face. Tests on different databases showed that this approach is effective in accurately identifying individuals.
