The study looked at how paved areas affect stormwater runoff and water temperature in two streams in Chunchon City. Using maps and monitoring systems, they found that the urban area had much more runoff than the forest area during light rain. The urban stream reached peak flow faster, and the water was warmer in the summer compared to the forest stream.
