A study found that factors like firm size, loan amounts, and credit access influence how well these businesses can get external funding. The research showed a strong positive relationship between these factors and financial performance, with 52.4% of the variations explained by them. The report suggests that the financial system should be more supportive of SMEs and bridge the financing gap between small and large companies. SMEs are encouraged to keep good financial records and form partnerships to make it easier to access funds.
