Topography dictates land use distribution in Chinese watershed, impacting eco-construction.
The study looked at how the shape of the land affects what it's used for in a specific area in China. By using special computer programs, the researchers found that the height, steepness, and direction of the land all play a big role in where things like farms and empty hills are located. Farms tend to be on flat, high areas, while barren hills are on steeper slopes. Changing the land for environmental projects can quickly change where things are located.
