Wheat straw boosts sheep manure compost, accelerates decomposition and nutrient levels
Adding wheat straw to sheep manure compost speeds up the process, reduces nitrogen loss, and improves nutrient levels. The high-temperature fermentation layer moves through the compost layers, with the best results seen with a 6:4 ratio of sheep manure to wheat straw. This ratio also increases composting speed by twice as much as using only sheep manure, reaching full decomposition in 28 days.
