Eurozone Stability at Risk: Core Countries Thrive, Mediterranean Nations Struggle
The Euro area is facing problems because countries have different economic situations. Core countries like Germany are doing well, but Mediterranean countries like Greece are struggling. This imbalance is causing tensions and risks within the Euro area. The study shows that having a common currency without a shared financial system is not stable. There are three possible ways the Euro could go in the future: letting things be, helping out struggling countries, or some countries leaving the Euro to form their own smaller group.
