Revolutionizing Land Reclamation: China's Green Mining for Sustainable Development
The study focused on developing methods to restore land and ecology in areas affected by coal mining in China. By combining knowledge from various fields like soil science and botany, researchers created a system for reclaiming land and rebuilding ecosystems in the Pingshuo surface mine. They analyzed the damage caused by mining, identified barriers to ecological reconstruction, and designed artificial ecosystems to restore the land. The findings suggest that with the right approach, it is possible to achieve green mining and sustainable development in mining areas.
