The distribution of household wealth in Spain was analyzed using data from a survey in 2002. Financial wealth is more unequally distributed than housing wealth. Financial wealth increases with household wealth, while housing wealth does not. Age differences do not explain why wealth is more unequal than income; instead, business and home ownership play a significant role.
