The study looked at how treating pepper seedlings with a plant hormone called 6-BA affected their ability to cope with cold temperatures and weak light. The results showed that the 6-BA treatment helped the seedlings maintain their photosynthesis efficiency and reduced damage to their cell membranes caused by stress. Additionally, the treatment boosted the activity of antioxidant enzymes in the seedlings, which are important for protecting plants from stress-related damage. Overall, the findings suggest that 6-BA pretreatment can help pepper seedlings better withstand challenging environmental conditions.
