The Baosteel No.3 Sinter Plant developed a new technology to reduce SO2 emissions during the steel production process. By using a gas spout-swirling limestone-gypsum desulfurization method, they were able to effectively control and adjust operating parameters to fit the original system. This not only reduced emissions but also stabilized the quality of gypsum by-products for reuse, cutting down on desulfurization costs.
