A new hybrid Japonica rice variety called Jinjingyou 11 was created to increase rice yield in certain regions. By combining a sterile line called Jinjing 11A with a restorer named Jinhui 1, the researchers developed a variety with high yield, good quality, and resistance to multiple factors. In tests, Jinjingyou 11 showed an average yield of 9.71t/hm2, which was 11.57% higher than the comparison variety Jinyuan 85. This new variety was approved in 2013 and is recommended for cultivation in specific rice production areas.
