The article explores how different land ownership systems in Ghana affect farmers' decisions to invest in improving and conserving their land. By studying data from 246 farmers in 6 villages, the researchers found that the type of land tenure significantly influences farmers' choices to invest in land enhancement and conservation methods. The results also show that land tenure differences impact land productivity.
