Demand-driven shocks in Turkey's economy dictate price and income fluctuations.
The goal of the paper is to figure out what causes random changes in prices and income levels in Turkey. The researchers looked at data from 1987 to 2003 to see if these changes were due to demand or supply factors. They found that most of the changes in national income were caused by demand factors, while changes in prices were more influenced by cost factors than demand factors.
