Financial inclusion in Bangladesh districts sees significant progress, reducing regional disparities.
The study created a Financial Inclusion Index for districts in Bangladesh using a distance-based method. Most districts showed improved financial inclusion from 2008 to 2014, except for a few. The index revealed that financial inclusion in Bangladesh increased overall during this period, especially after policy changes in 2010. This index can help compare financial inclusion across districts and track progress over time. The findings suggest that inclusive finance strategies can help reduce regional disparities and support national development goals.
