Restored wetlands in China show significant improvement in vegetation diversity.
The study compared different types of reed wetlands in the Yellow River Delta to see how well they were restored. They looked at plant types, diversity, and similarity between restored and natural wetlands. The results showed that after several years of restoration, the vegetation in the wetlands improved a lot. Restoring degraded wetlands by adding fresh water is effective, but it may take many years for them to fully recover.
