Iraq's Agricultural Land Use Mapped with 90% Accuracy Using Remote Sensing
The study used remote sensing and GIS to classify agricultural land in Al-Sad Al-Adhim sub District, Iraq. By combining digital and visual interpretation, they achieved 90% accuracy in mapping land use. Agricultural lands covered 52% of the area, followed by grasslands at 19%, barren land at 17%, urban areas at 9%, and water at 3%.
