Returning straw with fertilizer can boost rice yield and soil fertility. By combining straw with different ratios of fertilizer, the researchers found that the best combination increased rice yield significantly. The straw-fertilizer mix also improved soil pH, organic carbon, nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium levels, and reduced the soil C/N ratio. This method can enhance plant biomass, accelerate straw decomposition, and ensure high rice yield potential.
