The researchers studied how adding zinc and boron to linseed plants affects their growth, yield, and profits in Jharkhand. They tried different methods like soil and foliar applications of these nutrients. The best results came from foliar application of ZnSO4 and borax at 45 days after sowing. This method led to taller plants, more capsules and seeds per plant, higher seed weight, and increased seed yield. It also resulted in higher profits and a better benefit-cost ratio compared to other treatments.
