Globalization boosts governance quality in wealthy nations, hinders in poorer ones.
Economic globalization affects governance quality differently depending on a country's income and governance level. A study analyzed data from 182 countries between 2002-2016. They found that countries with higher income and governance benefit from globalization, while those with lower quality governance and income do not. This shows that a country's governance quality plays a crucial role in how much it gains from globalization.
