Organic Farming Breakthrough: Millet Yields Soar with Eco-Friendly Fertilizers
A study tested how different natural fertilizers and special bacteria affected the growth and harvest of organic pearl millet in 2020. They tried out various combinations like adding good bacteria to the seeds and using organic manures like compost and poultry waste. The best results came from using both the good bacteria mix and poultry manure together, which gave the highest grain yield and plant leftovers. This combination also brought in the most money – with good profits after taking costs into account. So, the mix of special bacteria and poultry waste seems to be a winning combo for growing organic pearl millet, getting lots of harvest, and making a good profit.
