The study looked at urban sprawl in Bekasi City, Indonesia, to understand where it's happening and what it looks like. They used two methods: one to calculate the urban sprawl index and another to analyze characteristics of sprawl in different areas. The results showed that about half of the villages in Bekasi City are experiencing urban sprawl. Among these, some have low population density and others have low building density.
