Attitude Trumps Control: Alcoholics' Physical Activity Linked to Mindset
The study used a statistical method called Structural Equation Modeling to look at how attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioral control affect physical activity in recovering alcoholics. The researchers found that attitude had the strongest impact on physical activity, followed by subjective norm and perceived behavioral control. This means that how a person feels about physical activity, what others think, and how much control they feel they have all play a role in whether they engage in physical activity.
