Optimizing plant spacing and nitrogen levels boosts sweet corn yield and profits!
A study on sweet corn farming looked at different plant spacings and nitrogen levels to see how they affect yield and profits. They tested three spacings and three nitrogen levels, finding that the 45×20cm spacing with 120kg/ha of nitrogen gave the best results. This combination led to higher corn and stover yields, as well as the highest gross and net returns. Overall, this spacing and nitrogen level combo was the most profitable for growing sweet corn.
