New wastewater treatment system removes heavy metals and pathogens effectively.
A new wastewater treatment system using a special wetland with Alfa grass was tested in a lab. They used water from a city treatment plant and checked the water quality before and after treatment. The system removed a lot of harmful stuff like ammonia, nitrogen, phosphorus, and bacteria. It also cleaned up the water by getting rid of pollutants like BOD, COD, and heavy metals. Overall, the system did a good job at cleaning the water and making it safer for the environment.
