The researchers studied the diversity of tiny animals called zooplankton in Kosavampatti Lake for a year. They found five different classes of zooplankton, with Rotifera being the most common. The density of zooplankton was highest in summer and lowest in the rainy season. The results suggest that Kosavampatti Lake is polluted.
