The article examines direct payment schemes in Bosnia and Herzegovina and their alignment with the common agricultural policy. The political complexity in B&H hinders economic development, especially in agriculture. Direct support is crucial for farmers in B&H, with more payments based on output than land or livestock. Despite aiming for European integration, B&H's agricultural policy is slow to harmonize with the CAP, lacking clear goals and political support for rapid improvement.
