The study looked at how much Nigerians know about protecting biodiversity. They surveyed over 1,000 people, including professionals and non-professionals, to see their understanding of biodiversity and ecosystem services. Most non-professionals didn't know much about biodiversity, while professionals had a better grasp. Both groups had low awareness of Nigeria's conservation plan. The study suggests that more education and promoting visits to natural areas could help improve awareness and engagement in biodiversity conservation in Nigeria.
