Coastal Communities in Indonesia Face Escalating Vulnerability, Urgent Action Needed
The study looked at how vulnerable the coastal areas in Indramayu, Indonesia are to dangers like natural disasters. They used a method called Coastal Vulnerability Assessment (CVA) along with Geographic Information System (GIS) to map out the level of vulnerability. The results showed that the coastal areas in Indramayu are moderately vulnerable to damage, with some places like Juntikedokan and Benda villages being at higher risk. It's important to protect these areas to prevent harm to the coastal environment.
