The researchers tested using rice husk ash instead of some cement in making concrete. They found that concrete with 10% rice husk ash was stronger than regular concrete. The new concrete also absorbed less water and was more durable. This means rice husk ash can be a good replacement for cement in Ethiopia's construction industry.
