Optimal sowing date and zinc fertilizer boost rice yield potential.
The study looked at how different factors like when rice is planted, how far apart the plants are, and how much zinc fertilizer is used affect the yield of a specific rice variety. They found that planting early in May, spacing the plants 20 x 15cm apart, and using 48 kg of zinc sulfate per hectare led to the highest grain yield. Delaying planting reduced grain weight and yield, while wider spacing increased the number of tillers per square meter. Overall, planting early, spacing plants closer together, and using more zinc fertilizer can help maximize rice yield for this particular variety.
