Revolutionizing Faba Bean Growth: Rhizobium Inoculation Boosts Yields Dramatically
The study looked at how adding rhizobium bacteria, vermicompost, and fertilizer affects the growth and yield of faba beans. They tested different levels of these additives in a pot experiment. Results showed that using rhizobium bacteria, vermicompost, and fertilizer together increased the number of nodules on the plants and improved nutrient uptake. The best results were seen with 6 tons of vermicompost and 60 kg of fertilizer per hectare, along with rhizobium inoculation, which led to higher grain yield and more pods per plant. Overall, combining these treatments improved the growth and yield of faba beans compared to using them individually.
