The goal of the study was to compare two methods for dividing an image into different parts based on their features. The researchers used two segmentation methods, histogram threshold and Otsu, on the same image. The results showed that both methods successfully separated the target area from the background, but Otsu's method was more accurate and produced better quality segmentation.
