The article examines how officials from European Union member states and EU personnel are held responsible in different EU institutions. It looks at various EU laws and rules to understand the types of responsibilities these individuals have, such as political, administrative, disciplinary, and financial responsibilities. The analysis shows that there are different ways these responsibilities are enforced, depending on the roles and functions of the individuals involved. The EU laws do not directly mention criminal responsibility for these individuals.
