Climate change driving significant vegetation shifts in Tibetan Plateau.
The study looked at how vegetation in the Tibetan Plateau responds to climate change. They analyzed satellite data and found that vegetation there has been slowly increasing over time. Different climate regions showed varying levels of vegetation change, with arid areas seeing the most growth. Temperature was the main factor affecting vegetation in wetter regions, while precipitation had a bigger impact in drier areas. Overall, temperature during the growing season had a stronger effect on vegetation than precipitation or humidity.
