Unlocking Groundwater Secrets in Basaltic Rock Could Transform Water Management
Groundwater movement in basaltic rock in the Purna River Basin was studied using pumping experiments with MODFLOW software. The research aimed to understand how water flows through different rock compositions and temperatures in aquifers. By analyzing Transmissivity and Storativity, researchers could determine the characteristics of the aquifer. Various methods like water analysis and pumping experiments were used to accurately measure these parameters. The study found that geological and hydrological information from the subsurface can provide valuable insights into groundwater flow and supply in the area.
