The Indian Stock market has changed a lot in the past decade due to government reforms. Despite the theory that stock prices are unpredictable, many studies show that past performance can predict future returns. The Momentum strategy believes that stocks that have done well in the past will continue to do well in the future. This study evaluates the profitability of using Momentum as an Investment Strategy in the Indian stock market and explains why it works in the current market trends.
