Education fuels income inequality in high and low-income countries, study finds.
The article explores how education affects income inequality in 145 countries from 1996 to 2016. By using the Gini index to measure income inequality, the study found that education is linked to higher inequality in both high and low-income countries, but lower inequality in middle-income countries. Additionally, the combination of education and GDP growth worsens inequality, while trade and education together reduce inequality.
