Fiscal decentralization in Ukraine is crucial for improving the balance between central and local authorities, stabilizing the economy, and providing better public services. However, the current process is inefficient and needs improvement. To make fiscal decentralization work better, Ukraine needs a clear strategy that focuses on improving administration quality, fighting corruption, increasing local accountability, and boosting local budget potential. Implementing concrete steps for fiscal decentralization will help strengthen local political and institutional capacities.
