Study reveals impact of agricultural practices on biodiversity in rural areas
The researchers studied the vegetation in Oktyabrsk village environs in Bashkortostan. They found that the plant communities there have low biodiversity and are dominated by ruderal species. By using statistical methods, they identified 15 plant associations and specific biotopes. These associations are influenced by factors like pasture loading level, soil moisture, and temperature. The researchers also discovered three biotopical centers (ruderal, birch forest, and steppe) and an integrated succession system in the area. Overall, the main factors shaping the plant communities are pasture loading level and environmental conditions like soil moisture and temperature.
