Boost Crop Yields with Urea and Mixed Cropping for Sustainable Agriculture
The researchers studied how using different amounts of urea fertilizer and planting legumes with maize affected corn yield in Arak. They conducted an experiment with different urea levels and mixed cropping setups. Results showed that higher urea levels led to taller plants, more grain per ear, and increased grain yield. Mixed cropping also had a significant impact on grain yield and nitrogen use efficiency. The highest corn yield was achieved with 225 kg/ha of urea, while planting corn alone resulted in higher yields compared to mixed cropping with mung beans.
