The article explores how to make digital topographic maps for the Main State Topographic Map of Ukraine. They used databases, standards, and vectorization to create accurate maps at a scale of 1:50,000. The goal was to update maps for a seamless national database and improve the National Spatial Data Infrastructure. They defined rules for map features and automated quality control. By creating new virtual features and following topological rules, they improved the accuracy and consistency of the maps.
