Strong corporate governance boosts performance of non-financial firms in Oman
The article examines how corporate governance affects the performance of non-financial companies in Oman. The researchers studied firms listed on the Muscat Securities Market from 2007 to 2017. They found that having women on the board, a larger audit committee, higher leverage, and a bigger firm size are linked to better performance. The study suggests that focusing on corporate governance rules and regulations can improve firm performance.
